What is My Segment42?

A free account where you receive SEGMENT42 product updates and notifications. Announcements appear here in your account and can also be sent by email.

Does SEGMENT42 need an internet connection to process data?

No. The processing machine connects to the internet once, to activate the license. After that, training and classification run offline, with no periodic license checks.

Can SEGMENT42 run in an air-gapped environment?

Yes — after the one-time online activation, SEGMENT42 runs entirely behind your firewall and supports air-gapped operation. Contact us for air-gapped deployment conditions.

Do I need both licenses?

No. The AI Training License includes classification — you can train and classify on one workstation without a separate Classification License. Under the AI Training License, training and classification do not run simultaneously.

Which license do I need to train my own models?

The AI Training License: create, improve and merge models, and classify using existing models.

Can my colleagues use the models I train?

Yes. All Classification Licenses can use predefined models or newly created models, including those created with an AI Training License.

Can a license be moved between workstations?

Licenses can be borrowed from a server and moved between workstations.

What does maintenance cover?

Software upgrades, including newly trained models, and technical support. All pricing options include one month of free maintenance; afterwards, maintenance is charged separately based on the license value.

What happens to my perpetual license without maintenance?

Your perpetual license continues to work without maintenance.

Where is my data processed?

On your own hardware — local workstations, servers or customer-controlled cloud. Uploading datasets to SEGMENT42 infrastructure is not required for local processing.
